The 61st Annual Porsche Parade
June 19 - 26, 2016
Gotta love a ski resort and a spectacular venue is schedule for the 2016 Parade! We invite you to join us in the scenic mountains and great back roads of northern Vermont. Jay Peak is the picture of serenity. The Resort will host our usual favorites in the base lodge, and our housing will dot the landscape in surrounding condos.
Letter from Jamie Tatge President/COO Leisure Hotels and Resorts to 2016 Parade entrants:
April 15, 2016
Dear Porsche Parade 2016 Attendees
As you may have heard Jay Peak Resort, the destination for Porsche Parade 2016, has undergone a management change and is now being operated by Leisure Hotels & Resorts. The owner entity of Jay Peak, Q Resorts, is working with the Security and Exchange Commission in an investigation of a program known as EB-5, which is expected to take some time. That investigation however will in no way affect daily operations of Jay Peak and will have no impact on your experience at the resort.
The team at Jay Peak Resort and Leisure Resorts & Hotels recognize how important Porsche Parade is to the members of Porsche Club of America. Our team is looking forward to Porsche Parade 2016 and want to extend our excitement to host the event. We know that Porsche Parade and the experience of the attendees is a top priority, and we are all fully committed to making the event fun and memorable for everyone.
Thank you for choosing Jay Peak Resort for Porsche Parade this June. Everyone here is truly looking forward to this dynamic event and seeing the impressive array of Porsche vehicles. We hope you are looking forward to driving the roads of the Northeast Kingdom, where you will experience the natural beauty and exciting driving delivered by this region of Vermont.
If I can be of any assistance, or you have any questions for me, please feel free to contact me by email – email@example.com and enter “PCA” into subject line.
Leisure Hotels and Resorts
From Ron Gordon, 2016 Parade Chair:
Jay Peak Change in Management
The governor of Vermont revealed on April 14th that the owners of Jay Peak and Q Burke ski resorts are under Security and Exchange Commission investigation. Leisure Hotels and Resorts have been brought in to oversee day-to-day business while current Jay Peak Resort ownership works with the SEC. As noted in the accompanying press release the investigation should not affect resort operations.
Conference Direct together with PCA National and Parade Staff have taken immediate action. Conference Direct and PCA will be meeting with Leisure Hotel and Resorts executives today to know, what, if any, implications this investigation and the change in management may have on the operations of the Jay Peak Resort affecting Parade. If there is concern that the operations may be affected Conference Direct and PCA will be positioned to respond accordingly.
The other resort mentioned in the investigation, Q Burke, has not been opened and therefore does not impact any Parade events or housing.
Since Jay Peak Resort is a vital part of the northern Vermont economy we feel that operations of the Jay Peak Resort will not be interrupted and a successful Parade will proceed as planned.
